Our 2017 Whole Cluster Carbonic Grenache was grownon the breathtaking hillside of our Folded Hills estate. Grower Ruben Solorzano's careful farming of the hillside vineyard provided a harvest of healthy fruit, perfectly set on their clusters.
Winemaker Angela Osborne chose to respect this work by fermenting our Cluster Grenache using perfectly intact grape clusters. The approach is called whole cluster, or carbonic fermentation, hence the name of the wine. The effect is zesty freshness and a wonderfully energetic palate, a wine full of presence while remaining relatively light-bodied. This is a fun and festive wine, perfect for any festivity.
This wine offers enticing notes of raspberry leaf and red currant, complemented by pleasant acidity and a well-defined structure. The ripe cherry flavors add depth and richness to the overall profile, creating a delightful sensory experience.
