2017 Grant Grenache 1.5L

Our Grant Grenache takes its name not only from Grant’s Farm, our ancestral home but also from President Ulysses S. Grant, who was its original Farmsteader. Aromatics of dusty pomegranate and cherry carry into the mouth, alongside savory herbs and light tobacco accents. The tannins are lightly tactile and palate-cleansing, while the acidity is glittering and mouthwatering, both carrying into a refreshing finish.

This medium-bodied Grenache would love a bit of smoke, so we suggest enjoying the Grant Grenache with fresh grilled vegetables served alongside risotto. It’s a perfect transition wine; with the freshness for enjoying while grilling outside in a late summer afternoon, and the structure to carry through your meal.

A tasty and light Grenache. Nicely balanced, spicy and elegant. Easy drinking, relaxing and entertaining. Fruit forward and good by itself or with food. Good right out of the bottle and better after 30 minutes of airtime when it comes together. A good quality wine with a nice mouthfeel. This is what I call a wine that is dangerously good. So watch out 😉

Black cherries, blackberries, crushed violets, pepper, and floral notes all emerge from the glass, and it's medium to light-bodied, has solid overall balance, good acidity, and fine tannins. It's an elegant, ethereal wine.
