Our 2018 Cluster Carbonic Grenache was grown on the breathtaking hillside of our Folded Hills estate. Grower Ruben Solorzano's careful farming of the hillside vineyard provided a harvest of healthy fruit perfectly set on their clusters.
Winemaker Angela Osborne chose to respect this work by fermenting our Cluster Grenache using perfectly intact clusters. The approach is called whole cluster, or carbonic fermentation, hence the name of the wine. The effect is a zesty freshness and a wonderfully energetic palate, a wine full of presence while remaining relatively light-bodied. This is a fun and festive wine, perfect for any occasion.
Exudes a zesty freshness with a vibrant acidity that awakens the palate. The mid-palate is explosive, offering a delightful burst of red licorice and hibiscus tea. Subtle notes of nutmeg add complexity.
