The Estate Grenache is made entirely from fruit grown on our estate vineyard, tucked into the slopes of Folded Hills. The site is meticulously farmed by grower Ruben Solorzano. Together, Ruben and winemaker Angela Osborne shepherd the grapes, and Angela selects the optimal moment for harvest.
The fruit is de-stemmed, and a portion of whole cluster is included to bring delicate spice and structure to the wine. Throughout fermentation, the Grenache is foot-tread twice daily to integrate the structure of the whole berries with the flavor of the variety. This wine is hand selected from the best Grenache barrels from the 2018 harvest, and two separate blocks of 362 clone. It is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, 33% new and 17% once-used, to enhance texture and depth in the wine, while preserving the purity and transparency of the site. This wine is 100% free run, with energetic arms that express themselves just as the head trained block of Golden Eagle. This wine is an expression of divinity in a glass; yin and yang at its finest.
Offers a delightful and fresh combination of yuzu and citrus flower, with savory undertones and a hint of red fruit.
