The Estate Syrah is made entirely from fruit grown on our estate vineyard, tucked into the slopes of Folded Hills. The site is meticulously farmed by grower Ruben Solorzano. It is our second Reserve Syrah entirely from Folded Hills vineyard, and represents Nojoqui, the southern most block of Syrah.

Winemaker Angela Osborne chooses the optimum moment for harvest. After carefully de-stemming the fruit, using pigeage throughout fermentation to maintain a balance of freshness, structure and integration. The wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, with 25% once-used barrels included to enhance texture and depth, without overwhelming the subtle flavor of the site. The expression was delicate from vine to bottle, and transports you to the mineral earth and unique climate of Folded Hills.

Offers a refreshing combination of fresh linen and cool eucalyptus aromas. On the palate, it has a lean texture with the delightful flavor of boysenberry pie.

"The 2018 Syrah Estate Reserve is a tiny cuvée of just two barrels. Inky dark fruit, tobacco, lavender and mineral accents emerge, but only with great reluctance. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2018 is a very young wine that needs time in bottle. Like the best wines here, it is both impressive and promising." 93 PTS - VINOUS, ANTONIO GALLONI

Easily the standout wine here and offers more depth, richness and texture than just about every other wine. Lots of blackberries, ground pepper, cured meats, and a touch of flowers all emerge from the glass. Medium to full-bodied, it has notable concentration, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
