2018 Polo Estate Syrah Reserve
Dark ruby in color, the lifted aromatics of this wine are redolent with violets, flint, chaparral, wild briarpatch blackberries, briny olives and distant hints of white pepper. On the mouth, it expands with elegant, restrained blue fruit notes held up by a brisk, energetic note of salinity and petrichor. A long, lingering finish suggests this wine is age worthy. It finishes with a surprisingly bright floral element, made more refreshing by its naturally in-balance acidity.
