Our 2019 Cluster Carbonic Syrah was grown on the breathtaking hillside of our Folded Hills estate. Grower Ruben Solorzano's careful farming of the hillside vineyard provided a harvest of healthy fruit, perfectly set on their clusters.
Winemaker Angela Osborne chose to respect this work by fermenting our Cluster Syrah using perfectly intact clusters. The approach is called whole cluster, or carbonic fermentation, hence the name of the wine. The effect is a zesty freshness and a wonderfully energetic palate, a wine full of presence while remaining relatively light-bodied. This is a fun and festive wine perfect for any occasion.
Features notes of honey barbecue, lingonberry, cherry, and white pepper, with a solid tannic structure providing balance and complexity.
