Our 2019 G.S.M. is made from a selection of the finest Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre vineyards in the Santa Ynez Valley, including our own Folded Hills Estate. Each site is meticulously farmed to organic and/or biodynamic standards. This year’s blend is almost an equal amount of all three varietals with 33% Grenache, 33% Syrah & 34% Mourvèdre.
All fermentation happens naturally with ambient yeast, and the fruit is foot tread until fermentation is complete. To preserve freshness and vibrancy, the wine is aged for 11 months in neutral French oak barrels.
Our team is really excited for the balance this elegant wine brings to the palate. It has a bright mid-palate with a velvety finish. The blue and black fruits do not overwhelm the glass and bring a sense this wine will last in one’s cellar for years to come. It has lovely fine tannin and complexity that will have you searching for more ways to describe it sip after sip.
