2020 Estate Grenache & 2020 Estate Syrah
This year we are sharing a little something extra from our holiday traditions. When the World’s Fair was held in St. Louis in 1904, my grandfather, August Busch Sr., discovered an incredible artist named Oscar Berninghaus and commissioned him to create pieces for our family’s personal collection. One of his paintings has always been my favorite, as it reminds me of the magic of the holidays and our cherished tradition of horse-drawn carriage rides through freshly fallen snow.
The Estate Grenache and Estate Syrah are made entirely from fruit grown on our estate vineyard, tucked into the slopes of Folded Hills. The site is meticulously farmed by grower Ruben Solorzano. Together, Ruben and winemaker Michael Brughelli shepherd the grapes, and Michael selects the optimal moment for harvest.
